Would what you would find if you frisked President Obama’s plan for health-care reform?

Answer: He might be looking to cut a deal.

Hmm… With the majority vote in both the House and the Senate, are the Democrats really thinking about cutting a deal with Joe Lieberman (I-CT)? Now, it’s definitely NOT reaching across the aisle at all, but at least it’s a start:

The White House is encouraging Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to cut a deal with Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), which would mean eliminating the proposed Medicare expansion in the health reform bill, according to an official close to the negotiations.

But Reid is described as so frustrated with Lieberman that he is not ready to sacrifice a key element of the health care bill, and first wants to see the Congressional Budget Office cost analysis of the Medicare buy-in. The analysis is expected early this week.

“There is a weariness and a lot of frustration that one person is holding up the will of 59 others,” the official said. “There is still too much anger and confusion at one particular senator’s reversal.”

The White House disputed this account, saying any notion that officials there are trying to push Reid into cutting a deal with Lieberman is inaccurate. White House officials say they are on the same page with Reid, working with him to find the best way to move forward with reform – not pushing him to do something he doesn’t want to do.

Hopefully Sen. Lieberman can stand his ground and help kill this bill so a real health-care reform debate can begin. Unfortunately for Sen. Lieberman, those with the same ideology have also began to attack him over this issue:

At this point, Lieberman seems primarily motivated by torturing liberals. That is to say, he seems willing to cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in order to settle an old electoral score.

That incredibly unintelligent quote came from The Washington Post’s Ezra Klein… Way to show off your outstanding journalistic skills and principles.

*UPDATE* – December 17, 2009

I know this update is coming a little late, but I figured I would add it.

Absolutely unbelievable! This is how pathetic individuals can be on the far-left:

As a measure of just how impassioned the health-care reform debate has become as it heads into the critical pre-Christmas stretch, consider this: Blogger and liberal activist Jane Hamsher has launched a drive to boot Sen. Joe Lieberman’s wife from her role as an international spokesperson for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the breast cancer charity that organizes the annual Race for the Cure fundraising run.

Hamsher sent a letter to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Susan G. Komen for the Cure on Friday calling for Hadassah Lieberman’s ouster and expressing “great concern” over her “counterproductive” role as a global ambassador for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Apparently if you don’t fall in line with the rest of the Democratic Party, you will be demonized too! Very typical: Liberals want the Republicans to move towards the center, but if a Democrat DARE move toward the center… It’s war on him as well. Hmm, a little bit of hypocrisy there? Very much so.

Climate Change Conference 2009

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the opening film for the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2009 (COP15) in Copenhagen?

Answer: A knockoff of the recent film 2012 and stuffed polar bears. What could go wrong?

HAHA! Yes… This was actually the film that kicked off the UN’s climate change conference. I apologize to the director, Mikkel Blaabjerg Poulsen, ahead of time because I don’t think he intended on creating a dark comedy – but it happened.

First off, I would like to point out that this film was based on an obvious dream or nightmare, which tend to be fantasy and fiction. Hmm… Is that hinting at a deeper meaning within the film like man-made global warming is just all a dream? Perhaps.

Besides looking into the deeper meanings of this short film and laughing, there are some other things that make it quite comical:

  • What kind of cable does the family in the film subscribe to? Every single channel seems to be talking about global warming. Give me a break! That’s got to be the lamest service ever.
  • A stuffed polar bear… Really!? How cliché and pathetic can you get? Oh wait… The stuffed polar bear got devoured by the ‘dry-cracked-earth-monster’.
  • The father in the film sure knows how to comfort his daughter after waking up from a horrible nightmare… By going straight to the computer to look up YouTube videos of bureaucrats and scientists rambling on about their manipulated/false findings. Hey! They got to keep their funding flowing somehow, right?
  • And like any good father, you always let your 6 year-old climb up to the top of an apartment complex’s roof with no railings on a rainy day to film herself… Only to be shown with hundreds of other exploited children saying the same thing.

Overall, great video COP15 and Mikkel Blaabjerg Poulsen… You had me quite entertained.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the billboards along I-70 in Missouri?

Answer: A message to spread.

I first saw this billboard on Gateway Pundit and it caught my attention so I thought I would share it on my blog:

A new billboard off of Interstate 70 in Missouri provides a short “citizens guide to REVOLUTION of a corrupt government” and issues a call to “PREPARE FOR WAR.”

This billboard replaces one that warned that the socialist “Obama-Nation” is “coming for you.” It’s unclear who the owner of the billboard is, but the first one was the work of a “Missouri businessman.”

While it’s unclear who owns it, the Lafayette County Republican Central Committee seems to endorse it.

I believe as the months continue to roll on and the government decides to spend insane amounts of taxpayer money we don’t have, more and more people are getting fed up. One of the individuals that posted a comment to the European Union Times’ article on this subject made an excellent point: This is going beyond “Liberals/Conservatives” and “Democrats/Republicans.” This is a sign that the American people are realizing they want their country back!

This isn’t the first time an advertisement like this has been put on display. Check out the billboard that was there before. Haha.

Props!
