Wonder what you would find if you frisked the U.S. Senate election in California?

Answer: Carly Fiorina (R) has increased her lead over Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer!

CBS 5 Reports:

California Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina has increased her lead over Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer to five percentage points according to a new CBS 5 KPIX-TV poll released Thursday, which also shows gubernatorial candidates Democrat Jerry Brown and Republican Meg Whitman in a dead heat.

The CBS 5 poll, conducted by the research firm SurveyUSA, showed Fiorina edging Boxer 47 percent to 42 percent, compared to a CBS 5 poll one month ago showing Fiorina over Boxer 47 to 45 percent.

The poll results indicated Fiorina’s support was essentially unchanged among men and women, young and old, white and Hispanic while Boxer had lost small ground among men, younger voters, and independents.

Can I get a “woot, woot”? I’m diggin’ the recent poll results. Hopefully the Republican Party can pull off the distant goal of taking over the majority in the Senate. Fingers are crossed!

Conservative victory 2010!

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the unions in California?

Answer: They are putting children’s lives at risk so they can demand an expansion of nursing positions in schools.

Nowadays, the question needs to be asked: Who’s really on the side of the children? Hint: Not the unions and never let them tell you any different! The video (posted above) from Reason TV is just another example of how big-labor is crippling our country:

Epilepsy advocates like the Epilepsy Foundation and physicians groups like the California Medical Association have lined up to support the bill. Unions representing teachers, nurses, and other public employees have lined up in opposition, claiming the bill would put children in danger. Their solution: hire more school nurses.

“The unions are not on the side of the kids,” says DeLorenzo who believes unions are more interested in expanding their ranks than protecting epileptic children.

“It’s exactly the opposite,” says Gayle McClean, southern section president of the California School Nurses Organization and a member of the California Teachers Association. ”We care deeply for children and we want them to receive the most appropriate care and that means they need a licensed medical person caring for them.”

Sacramento lawmakers sided with unions and have refused to bring the bill up for a vote. The bill will officially expire on August 31.

Remember, the FDA signed off on the use of Diastat and the syringe by non-medical personnel with just a little training. Protecting union jobs rather than saving epileptic children? This is absolutely appalling, but unfortunately it’s not surprising to me at all either. The State of California is overrun with governmental idiocy from the Left and big-labor unions (like the California Teachers Associationstuff their Democratic candidates’ pockets faster than a bank robber inside a vault when it comes to their campaigns.

Oh well… In the end, it’s just a matter of life and death. No biggie!

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the North Korean World Cup soccer team?

Answer: The coach and players might have been tortured.

Interesting… I thought about this happening immediately following their embarrassing performance in this year’s FIFA World Cup.

Daily Mail reports:

Fifa has launched an investigation into allegations that the North Korean World Cup coach and players were punished by the government after they lost all three of their games in the tournament in South Africa.

Last month, Radio Free Asia said that the Korean squad, apart from two foreign-based players, were subjected to ‘harsh ideological criticism’ after their team conceded the most goals of all 32 at the tournament.

Their coach Kim Jong-hun was also publicly humiliated and sentenced to hard labour for their performance.

[...]

Asian Football Confederation President Mohamed Bin Hamman, who recently travelled to the secretive communist nation, said he was hopeful the investigation would prove conclusive.

‘There was an unconfirmed report that these players have gone through torture or something like that, but I can’t confirm that.

‘I haven’t seen anything with my eyes or heard anything with my ears. Maybe this Fifa investigation can clear the air.’

Got to love communism, right? Let’s hope these allegations aren’t true, but it is North Korea after all…
