VIDEO: Angry Liberals At The Occupy Wall Street Protests [Content Warning]

[A] small part of the protest was downright unpleasant. Moments after I arrived, I saw a Jewish gentleman being berated when he criticized a protester. (Shortly after my video camera was switched off, he (inexplicably) shouted the N-word at the same man.)

By the way, during the course of his performance, he told me that he was white, Puerto Rican, Jewish, and African-American. I suggested he was, in fact, Confused, but he didn’t take much to that.

As the Occupy Wall Street protests surge in size and spread across the country, the Occupy Sacramento offshoot appears to be both confused, and angry when asked simple questions about their purpose.

About 300 protestors showed up in a downtown Sacramento park Thursday morning to kick off the Occupy Sacramento movement, and they did not take kindly to the the presence of a local CBS reporter. They also couldn‘t agree on why they’re there.

Andrew Breitbart decided to go to Occupy Los Angeles to ask questions of the protesters and before you know it he had an SEIU thug instructed to follow him around everywhere he went and try to keep people from answering questions. One of Andrew’s questions they were trying to keep people from answering was simply “Capitalism: Thumbs Up Or Thumbs Down?”

As “Occupy Wall Street” protests continue to gain steam and attract media attention, several videos of protesters spewing anti-Semitic language are sparking new concerns about the protesters and their messages.

Sadly, the folks at these “protests” are going after the police as well:

The “Occupy Wall Street” movement came to the Big Easy on Thursday, but its expression of varied and often clashing political messages quickly turned difficult.

As about 500 New Orleans protesters marched, complete with a small brass band, from Orleans Parish Prison to the Federal Reserve and then inside City Hall, one activist told The Daily Caller she heard shouts of “Kill the cops!”

Heck, even liberal radio hosts can’t hold back their anger:

Liberal talk radio host Mike Malloy told a group of protestors to tell the so-called “corporate state” to “go f—k yourselves.”

Malloy made his remarks from a stage set up at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, where a large crowd was protesting, in similar fashion to the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York City.

Classy… 

This is definitely NOT the Tea Party.

Unbelievable. Occupy DC protesters tried their best to raid the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum today in Washington, D.C. NBC reports:

According to Smithsonian spokesperson Linda St. Thomas, a crowd of “about 100 to 200 people” tried to enter through the museum’s Mall entrance.

“They were carrying signs and a lot of protest materials,” St. Thomas said in a statement. “You cannot bring that stuff into the museum under any circumstances.”

According to St. Thomas, the crowd tried to shove its way into the museum after being denied entry by security.

“One security guard was grabbed and pinned against the wall. He could not extract himself,” the spokesperson said. “Another security guard came over to help him and ended up pepper-spraying one person.”

Also, notice the few kids trying to make their way into the building with the masks covering their faces. Hmm… If I was planning on visiting a museum I don’t think I would wear a mask that covered my face. But on the other hand, if I was planning on robbing a bank or attempting to cause chaos… Well, that would be a different story.

Yup… That’s an angry “Occupier” throwing out a homophobic slur at the camera. Also, notice the kid at the end of the clip remove his shirt and ask for a fight.

Obama: Adding $4 Trillion To The National Debt Is “Unpatriotic”

Wonder what you would find if you frisked President Obama’s campaign speech on July 3, 2008? 

Answer: Apparently, it is irresponsible and “unpatriotic” to add $4 trillion to our national debt.

Interesting… Especially when this headline showed up on CBS News a couple days ago:

National debt has increased $4 trillion under Obama

The latest posting by the Treasury Department shows the national debt has now increased $4 trillion on President Obama’s watch.

The debt was $10.626 trillion on the day Mr. Obama took office. The latest calculation from Treasury shows the debt has now hit $14.639 trillion.

It’s the most rapid increase in the debt under any U.S. president.

The national debt increased $4.9 trillion during the eight-year presidency of George W. Bush. The debt now is rising at a pace to surpass that amount during Mr. Obama’s [first] term.

According to Obama, his own failed policies must have an “unpatriotic” element to them. After all, it was Obama and his Democratic Congress who managed to add another $4 trillion to our national debt in a quick two and a half years.

Democrats are trying to push back against Republicans who are using this story as ammo against President Obama’s campaign. They are attempting to use the dismal approval ratings of Congress to shutdown Republicans. The problem with this strategy is that the Democratic Party held the majorities in both the House of Representatives and Senate, but I guess they’re hoping the American people will be hit with amnesia. Also, if it is Congress’s fault for the extreme increase in our national debt, then wouldn’t it be then-Senator Obama’s fault for the trillions of dollars added on to our national debt under President Bush? Sorry, but you can’t have it both ways Democrats.

As for the Republicans, this video/audio clip is political gold for the 2012 presidential campaign and will soon be featured in dozens of political advertisements. Just wait and see.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney Vs. West Wing’s Josh Lyman

Above is a video clip from the hit television series The West Wing where Josh Lyman, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the president, thinks he can easily handle the White House press pool. Notice how he gets stumped at the end of the clip about an “inflation plan”. Instead of admitting that the president doesn’t have a plan to tackle the possibility of inflation, Josh decides to call the press pool stupid and tells that he does have a plan. Entertaining, right?

Now let’s comeback to reality.

Guy Benson – from Townhall.com – made an interesting point:

Since his unmitigated failure of a budget was unanimously defeated in the Senate, this president has refused to offer a specific plan of his own on virtually anything at all.  Instead, he talks about “visions” and “contours” and “frameworks” — and tries to blame his opponents when his poor leadership is exposed.  Over the last five days, the president has (a) undermined a bargain with John Boehner by introducing an unacceptable eleventh-hour condition, (b) rejected “out of hand” a bipartisan compromise that he found to be politically unpalatable, and (c) delivered a speech that painted his opponents as the intractable extremists.  In light of this behavior, it’s entirely reasonable for Americans to wonder what, precisely, Barack Obama’s proposed solution might be.  Today, the White House dismissively waived off that question as a GOP talking point and condescendingly inquired if the journalist who dared to ask it was capable of taking notes.

Tim Pawlenty Launches First TV Ad In Iowa

Tim Pawlenty releases the first television advertisement of the 2012 presidential election. 

Ad transcript:

A lot of candidates will come to Iowa and say the same things. The question is, have they done it?
In a liberal state, I reduced spending in real terms for the first time,
Took on the government unions and won,
Appointed a conservative supreme court.
And passed health care reform the right way – no mandates, no takeovers.
If I can do it in Minnesota, we can do it in Washington.
I’m Tim Pawlenty, and I approved this message.”

The Daily Caller reports:

Television ads for Tim Pawlenty will begin running on Thursday in Iowa on Fox News Channel, making the former Minnesota governor the first candidate to place a large ad buy in the first-in-the-nation caucus state.

Politico’s Ben Smith first reported the story, and noted that the ads will run “starting tomorrow on Fox News with a buy just under $50,000 in the Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Omaha, Ottumwa, Rochester, and Sioux City media markets. The ads will run from June 23rd to July 3rd.”

Pawlenty spokesperson Alex Conant previewed the tone the ads will take.

“Governor Pawlenty is well positioned to unite conservatives and do well in both Iowa and New Hampshire,” Conant emailed. “The soon-to-be-unveiled TV ads will introduce the Governor to Iowans about why he is the candidate with the strongest record and best results, not rhetoric.”

This commercial definitely fits Pawlenty’s style – not too flashy and straight to the point. In the short 30 second ad, he addresses his record of cut spending, battling unions, appointing conservative judges, and attacking Obamacare. All great points that conservative Iowans will love to hear. Unfortunately, the commercial is something that won’t excite anyone at first glance.

Also, T-Paw’s campaign stepped in and purchased the www.iowastrawpoll2011.com domain name and step up a great microsite. Props.

VIDEO: Rep. Weiner (D-NY) Admits to Sending Lewd Twitter Photo

The banner above the should read “Typical Politician”, but U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) finally admitted that he has been lying all week long. The lewd photograph that showed up on his official Twitter account last week was indeed his. 

Fox News reports:

Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., admitted Monday in a stunning press conference that he sent a lewd photo to a woman over Twitter, after claiming for days that he was hacked. Saying he is “deeply ashamed,” he also said he’s had explicit exchanges with six women over the last three years, some of which occurred after he got married in 2010.

But the seven-term congressman said he would not resign, expressing hope that he could win back the trust of his constituents.

Can Rep. Weiner survive this politically?:

“This is probably not a death blow to Weiner’s chances of holding on to his House seat or even his shot at being mayor: New Yorkers are pretty forgiving about these kinds of things,” NYU political science professor Patrick Egan told The Daily Caller. “But in the short term it probably hurts his fundraising.”

Others say he’s done.

“Congressman Weiner’s political career may well be over,” said Republican Ron Christie. “First the lewd image, then his anger-fueled media encounters have not made him an endearing nor sympathetic figure. Toss in more tweets to a porn star and his lack of certitude about the picture’s authenticity may well have many in New York City questioning his.”

Whether he recovers or not, full-rehabilitation in the public sphere may take some time.

Even though I am a staunch Republican, I truly believe that Rep. Weiner should resign immediately. He lied to every camera placed in front of him last week and only called for a press conference today, because he was backed into a corner that he could not escape.

Quit Question: Do you really want a 46 year-old congressman, who sends lewd photos of himself to 20+ year-old females, in charge of legislation that effects the lives of every American?

VIDEO: Rep. Ryan Explains and Visualizes How to Save Medicare

Great video from U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) explaining what is currently wrong with Medicare and how his Path to Prosperity plan will fix it.

Power Line reports:

Medicare is heading for collapse, as all well-informed citizens know. The question is what to do about it. Democrats welcome the collapse, and have incorporated it as part of their strategy to force socialized medicine on unwilling Americans. Republicans, for better or worse, are trying to save the Medicare program in something like its present form.

[T]he best thing about the House Republicans’ approach is that it goes a long way toward restoring patient choice and market competition to our health care system. That won’t just benefit senior citizens, it will benefit everyone.

Bravo Rep. Ryan and keep up the good work.

Former President Bill Clinton told Rep. Ryan that he believes the Democrats need to do something about Medicare. ABC News reports:

“So anyway, I told them before you got here, I said I’m glad we won this race in New York,” Clinton told Ryan, when the two met backstage at a forum on the national debt held by the Pete Peterson Foundation. But he added, “I hope Democrats don’t use this as an excuse to do nothing.”

Ryan told Clinton he fears that now nothing will get done in Washington.

“My guess is it’s going to sink into paralysis is what’s going to happen. And you know the math. It’s just, I mean, we knew we were putting ourselves out there. You gotta start this. You gotta get out there. You gotta get this thing moving,” Ryan said.

Clinton told Ryan that if he ever wanted to talk about it, he should “give me a call.” Ryan said he would.

Oh, and it gets better. The New York Times reports:

Former President Bill Clinton, still widely considered one of his party’s foremost politicians, said on Wednesday that Democrats should cut a “reasonable” deal with Republicans on Medicare savings rather than conclude from Tuesday’s upset in a special Congressional election that bashing Republicans on the issue is the key to a party comeback in 2012.

Mr. Clinton, with some passion, returned to the topic at the end of an hour-long interview. “I think the Democrats are going to have to be willing to give up, maybe, some short-term political gain by whipping up fears on some of these things — if it’s a reasonable Social Security proposal, a reasonable Medicare proposal. We’ve got to deal with these things. You cannot have health care devour the economy.”

VIDEO: Tim Pawlenty Officially Announces

It’s official! Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has jumped into the 2012 presidential race.

Tim Pawlenty‘s campaign reports:

In the third year of Barack Obama’s presidency, unemployment is at unbearable levels, gas and food prices are skyrocketing and federal government spending is out of control. “ObamaCare” is unconstitutional, and it is already driving up health costs — not reducing them.

The president’s policies simply aren’t working. And more than that, he won’t even tell us the truth about the problems we’re facing and what it’s really going to take to get America back on the right track.

As a candidate for president, it would be easy for me to just tell the American people we can solve our debt crisis and fix our economy without making any tough choices. But we have now seen where that type of leadership gets us.

Leadership isn’t about fancy speeches and empty promises. It’s not about telling people just what they want to hear. It’s about telling the truth. Like too many Washington politicians, President Obama governs with an eye toward the next election, at the expense of the next generation. He would rather pretend there is no crisis and attack those who are willing to stand up and try to solve it rather than risk doing anything about it himself.

Ever since the 2010 midterm elections ended, I have been a big fan of Pawlenty and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. Unfortunately, I awoke to the news yesterday that Daniels decided to withdraw his name from the 2012 presidential election talks. This leaves a lot of room for other GOP hopefuls, including T-Paw.

On the political advertising side of his announcement, Pawlenty’s ads have been on fire ever since he has hinted at a presidential run. Although his “I’m going to tell you the truth” stance isn’t anything new for a politician, the introduction and outro of the ad were great. They definitely portrayed a humble candidate who is ready to take on President Obama and his campaign war-chest. I just hope Pawlenty can keep up with others in his own party.

VIDEO: Steven Crowder Takes On Net Neutrality At SXSW

Have you ever wondered what the “hipsters” at the SXSW Music and Media Conference in Austin, Texas thought about Net Neutrality? 

Answer: Steven Crowder finds out.

As a huge computer and social media geek, I believe Net Neutrality is one of the worst concepts jotted down on paper:

Net Neutrality is a proposed set of regulatory powers that would grant the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) the ability to control how Internet service providers (ISPs) package their services. Proponents argue that such rules are necessary to ensure that ISPs treat all data on the Internet equally and don’t slow or even restrict access to various websites and other parts of the Internet.

However well-intentioned, the practical effect will be to limit consumer choice and grant the federal government unprecedented power over the Internet, all in the name of fixing a problem that doesn’t exist in any meaningful way. Indeed, examples of the behavior that Net Neutrality will combat are few and far between.

As I have mentioned before on my blog,  David Harsanyi says it best: Why would we want a prehistoric bureaucracy overseeing one of the past century’s great improvements?

Political Ad: CRNC’s “What’s Your Plan?”

If you haven’t seen it already, the College Republican National Committee (CRNC) released a great ad yesterday targeting young voters.

The Daily Caller reports:

The College Republican National Committee (CRNC) is launching a television ad in Iowa this week with the goal of energizing young voters to get involved in the political process in a state that will host the first electoral contest of the presidential primary season.

Unlike typical political ads, the CRNC spot features pop culture references and an upbeat tempo with young people asking viewers about the $5 trillion per decade interest on the national debt. It calls on Iowa’s college students to ask presidential candidates, who will be courting their state’s voters over the coming months, what their plan is to fix the deficit?

Best part of the ad: It immediately takes President Obama’s “Win the Future” slogan and turns it against him. Bravo!

The real challenge behind this new ad will be to actually break through to the college demographic later down the road. Liberal cesspools, commonly known as “college campuses”, do a great job at keeping liberal group-think in and conservative philosophy out. Young people are known to be rebellious, but why are they supporting the Democratic Party who want to control their lives? Chris Long, president of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, thinks he might have an answer:

From Long’s perspective, campuses fail to provide an understanding of the intellectual foundations of conservatism, leaving young people with no viable alternative to liberalism, with the possible exception of libertarianism.

Even if young people have a sensibility that they’re conservative, Long said, they are rarely steeped in conservative philosophy. That’s why the mission of ISI is to reinvigorate the “traditional liberal arts education” on college campuses and help students “understand what it means to be an effective citizen in today’s world.”

That’s no easy task. With the Obama administration on track to leave the next generation a back-breaking amount of debt and an economy in shambles, students might have to be “mugged by reality” before they’ll come to their senses about the future of the country, Long suggested. The struggle of ISI is to engage students in a discussion about first principles “before they get their first paycheck and half the money’s taken away.”

Hopefully 2012 will be a different story, but I am not holding my breath.

This is absolutely disgusting and pathetic. These people have no class what so ever.

If a few Tea Party members did this, their faces would be plastered all over the major news networks and newspapers.
