Net Neutrality is a proposed set of regulatory powers that would grant the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) the ability to control how Internet service providers (ISPs) package their services. Proponents argue that such rules are necessary to ensure that ISPs treat all data on the Internet equally and don’t slow or even restrict access to various websites and other parts of the Internet.
However well-intentioned, the practical effect will be to limit consumer choice and grant the federal government unprecedented power over the Internet, all in the name of fixing a problem that doesn’t exist in any meaningful way. Indeed, examples of the behavior that Net Neutrality will combat are few and far between.
As I have mentioned before on my blog, David Harsanyi says it best: Why would we want a prehistoric bureaucracy overseeing one of the past century’s great improvements?

Although Steven Crowder uses humor to address the serious issues facing our country, the Obamacare waiver problem is bigger than you might think. Explain this to me: Why are the same people (liberals and organized labor unions) that fought for Obamacare now seeking to be exempt from it?
The answer, of course, is that if everybody could escape from government-designed health insurance, then everybody would. And besides, the HHS Web site explains, “Annual limits waivers are temporary. In 2014 annual dollar limits will be prohibited and mini-med plans will no longer be necessary.” Viola. Since they’re prohibited, nobody will want them anymore.
To date, the Obama administration has issued more than a thousand health care waivers to organizations desiring a year-long exemption from the law’s coverage requirement.
“Democrats continue to tout the benefits of the health care reform, yet some of their biggest political contributors such as labor unions are filing for waivers,” said Ensign. “The more than one thousand waivers that have already been granted should send a strong signal of how economically damaging this law is, and now more than ever we need to work toward full repeal.”

Wonder what you would find if you frisked one of the “evil” companies that falls within the top tax brackets that President Obama and the Democrats are trying desperately to raise taxes on?
Answer: A company who is not overwhelmed with wealthy executives smoking cigars, sipping on cocktails, feet resting on their desks, and laughing at the rest of middle-class America.
As you can tell, I was definitely exaggerating the descriptions of the employees who work hard at Leland (the company in the video). However, President Obama and his loyal Democrats are trying desperately to portray that image of the so-called “wealthy” Americans who make more than $250,000 a year. Unfortunately, the Democrats do not understand (or chose not to understand) that a majority of small businesses make more than $250,000 a year and don’t earn enough for it to make financial sense to file their taxes in the corporate bracket. With that said, this is where Steven Crowder’s latest video comes in to help make sense of the issue.
After watching the video, you will notice that if a company ends up entering the top tax brackets with an income of more than $250,000 a year they still have to pay their employees from those earnings before taking home their own cut. Therefore, if the federal government decides not to extend the Bush tax cuts for ALL tax brackets, it is likely that employers and entrepreneurs would be hit extremely hard.
Overall, Steven Crowder’s latest video was informative and entertaining. I sense the attacks from the Left will include the rhetoric such as “This is only one company! Therefore, it proves absolutely nothing.” Yeah, if you are an individual thinking that, I recommend you pull your head out of that dark place where the sun does not shine because the GOP tidal wave is coming in less than two weeks! …Hold on tight!

Wait just a second… Barack Obama loves “big oil” too? … Go figure.
As Steven Crowder points out, both Democrats and Republicans are in the “pockets” of the oil industry. Therefore, liberals and the mainstream media need to stop blaming Conservatives for their misperceived love affair with “oil oil” and recognize the ongoing failures currently going on in the Gulf of Mexico… Like President Obama said, we need to “plug the damn hole!” Unfortunately, he is doing an awful job at doing it. Although this video has a little humor in it, Steven Crowder gets a little deeper than usual in this one. Hollywood tends to depict our troops in only a few ways: trigger happy and suffering post traumatic stress psychopaths. It doesn’t matter who it is, we should all respect those serving this great country. Every troop deserves our thoughts and prayers, because they are the individuals that keep this world afloat.

HAHA! What a great video. Steven Crowder brings up a number of good points relating back to political correctness and how our society is afraid to point out things for what they are. Thanks to a radical, liberal administration controlling Washington and the far-left media, we have a country full of Americans who are looked down upon for calling a terrorist a “terrorist” and a war on terrorism – you guessed it – a “war on terrorism.” It’s absolutely absurd! Just look at Google’s recent political correctness mishap that occurred over the weekend:
Apparently Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, and other religions are a lot of things, but what about Islam? I guess Google doesn’t have an opinion on that specific religion, or they’re simply hiding in the shadow of political correctness.
Props to Steven Crowder and PJ TV, because this video/subject definitely needed to be pointed out!

It’s not the real television show CSI, but I must say this version is a lot better than most of CSI: Miami’s episodes. This video by Steven Crowder is a couple weeks old, but I figured I would wait until Christmas time to post it on my blog. Enjoy!

Answer: Shambles.
Finally! The video arrived yesterday. If you recall from my previous posts, I added the teaser of this video in a post about Detroit’s outrageous unemployment – Check it out here.
Since I am from the greater Lansing area of Michigan, I was excited to see what Crowder came up with. The result? I liked it. Granted, it does depict Detroit as America’s own Hiroshima, but one thing is definitely correct in this video: Detroit is a complete liberal bureaucratic nightmare.
Allahpundit (from Hot Air) offered his own critique of the video:
Other American cities have been dominated by the left for decades too, from Berkeley to D.C., and none have the Hiroshima-after-the-blast feel that Motown does. (Democrats currently outnumber Republicans on the New York City Council 46-3.)
While his point somewhat holds true, I have to disagree with him overall. Yes, I agree that Detroit might be the extreme example of liberal a dominance over the years, but that doesn’t mean the same bureaucratic nightmares can’t occur within another major city. Also, I would like to point out that Washington D.C. is funded by federal money and without it… It would probably look like Detroit too. Not to mention the poverty stricken areas outside of Berkeley, Cleveland, Milwaukee, and other cities.
On the other hand, here are some interesting facts in this video:
Detroit’s mayor has been a Democrat for the last 50 years – go figure.
The students of Detroit receive (on average) $11,100 per student compared to the national average of $9,600 per student.
Detroit’s graduation rate is a whopping 25%.
A Detroit student has a higher chance of ending up in prison than graduating high school… Depressing.
Hybrid cars count for 2% of the market share and America makes more hybrid models than foreign companies.
Car companies rarely make a profit on hybrid vehicles and analysis believe Honda is still losing money on each Prius sold (the #1 hybrid).
UAW employees receive 7 weeks paid vacation a year!
Maintain job banks – where employees aren’t technically fired. Instead they are just sent to these ‘job banks’ where they’re paid almost full wages NOT to work.
On average, an UAW employee makes $74/hour in salary & benefits. Compare that to the $42/hour average salary of a Japanese auto-worker.
