BREAKING: Terrorist leader Usama Bin Laden is dead!

Fox News reports:

Usama bin Laden is dead, putting an end to the worldwide manhunt that began nearly a decade ago on Sept. 11, 2001. The architect of the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil was killed a week ago inside Pakistan by a U.S. bomb.

Statement from former President George W. Bush:

Earlier this evening, President Obama called to inform me that American forces killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda network that attacked America on September 11, 2001.  I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude.  This momentous achievement marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001.  The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message:  No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.

Tonight is a great night. God bless American and our troops!

I will end this post with some Toby Keith:

The “Star Spangled Banner” being sung at Ground Zero in New York City:

*UPDATE* – May 2, 2011 – 11:55 PM.

The intelligence ultimately leading to Bin Laden’s death came from the enhanced interrogation of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Abu Faraj al-Libi:

Officials say CIA interrogators in secret overseas prisons developed the first strands of information that ultimately led to the killing of Osama bin Laden.

Current and former U.S. officials say that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, provided the nom de guerre of one of bin Laden’s most trusted aides. The CIA got similar information from Mohammed’s successor, Abu Faraj al-Libi. Both were subjected to harsh interrogation tactics inside CIA prisons in Poland and Romania.

The news is sure to reignite debate over whether the now-closed interrogation and detention program was successful. Former president George W. Bush authorized the CIA to use the harshest interrogation tactics in U.S. history. President Barack Obama closed the prison system.

While President Obama showed a lot of courage for making the call to invade Bin Laden’s compound, it was ultimately President Bush’s policies (that Obama and the Left previously despised) that put this great accomplishment into motion.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked President Obama’s changes to our National Security Strategy?

Answer: The terms “Islamic radicalism” and “Jihad” will no longer be used.

Hmm… Appeasement? Or just another liberal attempting to hump the leg of ‘political correctness’? Either way, President Obama has been on a roll this week! First, President Obama reversed 60 years of U.S. nuclear policy and pledged we would not retaliate with nuclear weapons. Now this nonsense…

FOX News reports:

President Barack Obama’s advisers will remove religious terms such as “Islamic extremism” from the central document outlining the U.S. national security strategy and will use the rewritten document to emphasize that the United States does not view Muslim nations through the lens of terror, counterterrorism officials said.

The change is a significant shift in the National Security Strategy, a document that previously outlined the Bush Doctrine of preventative war and currently states: “The struggle against militant Islamic radicalism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century.”

[...]

That shift away from terrorism has been building for a year, since Obama went to Cairo, Egypt, and promised a “new beginning” in the relationship between the United States and the Muslim world. The White House believes the previous administration based that relationship entirely on fighting terror and winning the war of ideas.

Just great… Symbolism over substance.

Terrorist! Where!?

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the political correctness of radical Islamist groups?

Answer: Steven Crowder finds out!

HAHA! What a great video. Steven Crowder brings up a number of good points relating back to political correctness and how our society is afraid to point out things for what they are. Thanks to a radical, liberal administration controlling Washington and the far-left media, we have a country full of Americans who are looked down upon for calling a terrorist a “terrorist” and a war on terrorism – you guessed it – a “war on terrorism.” It’s absolutely absurd! Just look at Google’s recent political correctness mishap that occurred over the weekend:

Apparently Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, and other religions are a lot of things, but what about Islam? I guess Google doesn’t have an opinion on that specific religion, or they’re simply hiding in the shadow of political correctness.

Props to Steven Crowder and PJ TV, because this video/subject definitely needed to be pointed out!

Really...!?

Wonder what you would find if you frisked CNN’s interview with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano?

Answer: According to her, the system worked. Hmm…

I’m sure all of you are aware of the failed terrorist attack that occurred in my home state of Michigan over the weekend:

The plot to blow up an American passenger jet over Detroit was organized and launched by al Qaeda leaders in Yemen who apparently sewed bomb materials into the suspect’s underwear before sending him on his mission, federal authorities tell ABC News.

Investigators say the suspect had more than 80 grams of PETN, a compound related to nitro-glycerin used by the military. The so-called shoe bomber, Richard Reid, had only about 50 grams kin his failed attempt in 2001 to blow up a U.S.-bound jet. Yesterday’s bomb failed because the detonator may have been too small or was not in “proper contact” with the explosive material, investigators told ABC News.

Investigators say the suspect, Abdul Farouk Umar Abdulmutallab, a 23-year-old Nigerian student whose birthday was last Tuesday, has provided detailed information about his recruitment and training for what was supposed to be a Christmas Day suicide attack.

Unbelievable… I take a break from blogging for a weekend to celebrate Christmas with the family and this happens. Thank God the terrorist was unsuccessful in his attempt to murder the passengers on board Northwest 253. With that said, after watching the remarks from our Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, one has to be completely dumbfounded. How does someone even make that argument in this type of situation? It’s tough, but Hot Air tried:

I suppose one can make that argument — if one assumes that the system includes allowing a man included on a watch list onto an airplane, allowing his visa to remain in force even after his own father informs the US that he’s become a radical jihadi, assuming that any explosive said terrorist will smuggle onto the plane will fizzle out, and that only quick thinking by the other passengers on the plane kept the jihadi from trying it again while he barbecued his crotch.

Hmm… I’m pretty sure that argument doesn’t holdup too well, but I will let you decide. The truth is our system of screening that we had in place failed and once again we find ourselves with another P.R. mishap by this administration. I don’t know about you, but it makes me question: Where has our President been during this whole terrorism situation? Oh yeah, here.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked Iraqi jihadis?

Answer: They figured out how to hack U.S. drone video feeds.

This is quite disturbing:

Militants in Iraq have used $26 off-the-shelf software to intercept live video feeds from U.S. Predator drones, potentially providing them with information they need to evade or monitor U.S. military operations.

Senior defense and intelligence officials said Iranian-backed insurgents intercepted the video feeds by taking advantage of an unprotected communications link in some of the remotely flown planes’ systems. Shiite fighters in Iraq used software programs such as SkyGrabber — available for as little as $25.95 on the Internet — to regularly capture drone video feeds, according to a person familiar with reports on the matter.

U.S. officials say there is no evidence that militants were able to take control of the drones or otherwise interfere with their flights. Still, the intercepts could give America’s enemies battlefield advantages by removing the element of surprise from certain missions and making it easier for insurgents to determine which roads and buildings are under U.S. surveillance.

This issue is very serious, but just as embarrassing. Granted, the picture on the video feed is only a small ‘window’ of what is actually going on, but the problem is that these aircrafts should have had encrypted data links in the first place.

We must always remember that our enemies are not stupid.
