Wonder what you would find if you frisked MSNBC’s Ed Schultz on his religious beliefs?
Answer: Jesus would vote for a public option. Duh!
“What would Jesus do?” Hmm… For many that is a tough question, but not when it relates to health care reform! Ed Schultz believes that Jesus would vote for a government public option that would eventually takeover health care. [Amen?]
Don’t worry though, Ed Schultz’s is a very deep and religious person that would know of such valuable information. After all, he calls those who believe in a higher power “Bible thumpers”. Yup… He must know his stuff folks.
Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council, did a great job at summarizing Ed Schultz’s bias and use of religion here:
Schultz said the people were the government, so the obligation of the government was inclusive, according to Perkins’ standard. However, Perkins pointed out for the MSNBC host that the politically left-of-center seem to be willing cite scripture when expedient, but tend to get worked up when those on the right do the same thing, which he referred to as a double standard and even questioned if those on the left understood what they were citing.
Apparently liberals will literally do anything for the public option.
