New Jersey’s Status:
Ut oh! Chris Christie (R) is pulling away slightly with less than a week to go:
With just a week to go in New Jersey’s closely contested race for governor, Republican Chris Christie holds a three-point advantage over incumbent Democratic Governor Jon Corzine.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in New Jersey show Christie with 46% of the vote and Corzine with 43%.
Christie leads by eight points among those who are certain they will show up and vote. A week ago, he was up by five among that group. Christie’s supporters are also less likely to say they might consider voting for someone else.
Pretty awesome! If Chris Christie wins in the huge liberal state of New Jersey… A political shock wave is bound to go off! For more information on Chris Christie and his campaign, click here.
Bob McDonnell (R) looks like he has a pretty safe lead going into next week:
Republican Robert F. McDonnell has now opened a 13-point lead over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds with less than a week to go in the race for governor of Virginia.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state – taken last night just after President Obama made a campaign appearance for Deeds in the state – shows McDonnell ahead 54% to 41%. Only four percent (4%) remain undecided.
Great news! Especially after Obama won Virginia during the 2008 election. For more information on Bob McDonnell and his campaign, click here.
Side-Note: Overall… It’s lookin’ good in the conservative neighborhood!
Reminder: I’ll have an update on the latest poll numbers later in the week.
