Wonder what you would find if you frisked the thousands of delegates, officials, journalists, world leaders, celebrities, and scientists attending the Copenhagen Climate Summit in Denmark?
Answer: They sure don’t like to practice what they preach as they leave an excessive CO2 trail behind them.
The hypocrite alert is going full force today as ‘important’ people flood to Copenhagen, Denmark to support their scientific religion of climate change. Apparently these hypocrites can’t deal without their luxury/polluting transportation for at least two weeks while they’re at a climate change conference. Hmm… Something is wrong with this picture:
On a normal day, Majken Friss Jorgensen, managing director of Copenhagen’s biggest limousine company, says her firm has twelve vehicles on the road. During the “summit to save the world”, which opens here tomorrow, she will have 200.
Ms Jorgensen reckons that between her and her rivals the total number of limos in Copenhagen next week has already broken the 1,200 barrier. The French alone rang up on Thursday and ordered another 42. “We haven’t got enough limos in the country to fulfil the demand,” she says. “We’re having to drive them in hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden.”
And the total number of electric cars or hybrids among that number? “Five,” says Ms Jorgensen. “The government has some alternative fuel cars but the rest will be petrol or diesel. We don’t have any hybrids in Denmark, unfortunately, due to the extreme taxes on those cars. It makes no sense at all, but it’s very Danish.”
Really?… Only FIVE hybrid cars!? Did these individuals not get the memo that there’s a world climate change summit going on? I guess not, because the taxes are too high. What political party does that remind you of? At least everyone is flying environmentally safe airplanes as they make their journey to and from Denmark… right? HA:
The airport says it is expecting up to 140 extra private jets during the peak period alone, so far over its capacity that the planes will have to fly off to regional airports – or to Sweden – to park, returning to Copenhagen to pick up their VIP passengers.
Honestly… There are just certain things that are so hypocritical that it is almost comical. This being a case and point.
Question: Has any of these people heard of video conferencing? Personally, that would show everyone you truly care about the the environment, but I digress…
Watch everyone arrive at the Climate Change Summit in their 1,000+ limos, while the buses (there to lower the pollution) remained quite empty:
Can someone say: Hypocrite? Especially the guy coming into the gate with a bicycle strapped to the BACK of his limo, haha. Now that’s what you call an epic failure.
