Wonder what you would find if you frisked Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV)?
Answer: Apparently he thinks that opponents of Obama’s health-care reform are like supporters of slavery.
You heard it correct. Sen. Reid (D-NV) actually compared Republicans who oppose Obama’s health-care reform to those who tried to hang on to the institution of slavery over a century ago. Interestingly enough, those individuals were (for the most part) Democrats (haha):
The Nevada Democrat, in a sweeping set of accusations on the Senate floor, also compared health care foes to those who opposed women’s suffrage and the civil rights movement — even though it was Sen. Strom Thurmond, then a Democrat, who unsuccessfully tried to filibuster the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and it was Republicans who led the charge against slavery.
Now usually I try to stay nice on my blog, but what was this idiot actually trying to accomplish politically with these statements? Are Democrats TRYING to make it easier for Republicans to win in the 2010 elections? Seriously… If you don’t believe the Senate Majority Leader uttered these words, check it out below:
Oh goody! Once again, the liberals pull out the infamous race card. Unfortunately for them, the polls aren’t showing very favorable numbers for the Democrat’s health-care reform. Hmm… This must mean most of America is racist! Haha:
