Wonder what you would find if you frisked the Democrats’ latest political campaign strategy?
Answer: Go after House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) in an attempt to tie him to lobbyists.
Over the past week, President Obama has clearly made it a point to go after Rep. Boehner (Watch here and here). To put more emphasis on the House Minority Leader, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) released the new political advertisement posted above. Unfortunately for Rep. Boehner, this is not the only attack he is receiving. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs used his Twitter account the other day to tweet about Rep. Boehner’s so-called “lobbyist friends.”:
Unfortunately for the White House, they must not have looked into themselves and their own beloved Democratic Party. Take a gander at the members of Congress who received the most money from lobbyists this campaign cycle:
Hmm… That’s odd! I don’t see GOP House Minority Leader Boehner’s name on that list anywhere. Also, if you’re color blind, 15 out of the 20 are Democrats. Shucks, it appears the Democrats’ new attack strategy might be a little hypocritical and doesn’t work out too well.
Here’s another interesting point:
If you concentrate on the House of Representatives where John Boehner serves the story is just as bad for Gibbs and the progressive Democrats. There are 60 Members of the House who accept more lobby money than Bohner, 45 of them (75%) are members of the President’s party. Boehner’s $39.5 thousand in lobbyist donations (the red bar) pale on comparison to that of the Democratic house leadership.
You can see that comparison here:
Plus, let’s not forget about all that handy-dandy organized labor union/special interest money the Democratic Party is extremely addicted to. After all, $40.3 million (out of the total $43.2 million) in union campaign contributions was given to House Democrats. As for the top recipients of that money, here you go:
😯 Well, would you look at that! That graph appears to be bluer than the ocean! Talk about outside influence…
Go ahead President Obama, Robert Gibbs, and the rest of the Democratic Party. Keep on pushing your new narrative and demonization approach, because you just look completely desperate and insanely hypocritical.
