Sen. Majority Leader Reid (D-NV).

Wonder what you would find if you frisked Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s thoughts on the automotive industry bailouts?

Answer: He believes that Ford, which refused to take government bailout money, only survived because of the government bailout.

🙄 Hmm… How does that one work? Simple: It doesn’t.

In reality (not Harry Reid’s liberal dream-world), Ford did have the chance to accept government bailout money, but chose not to. Isn’t it interesting that the only one of the Big Three who didn’t accept government money is doing the best?

What would have happened if none of them accepted those taxpayer bailout dollars? The Blog Prof believes that the government’s interference in the process did more harm than good:

Without the bailouts, GM and Chrysler could have gone through bankruptcy restructuring without the 800-lb government gorilla on their backs. As it is, the bankruptcy restructuring occurred in a way to help Obama’s primary constituency – unions – rather than the long-term health of the companies. We are yet to see whether the restructuring will work, but if it does, it will be despite the government takeover, not because of it. There are in fact plenty of good people still working for the autos. I know because some of them have been my best engineering students.

And Ed Morrissey – from Hot Air – sums it up:

And don’t forget that we spent over $60 billion on those bailouts just to see the companies go into bankruptcy anyway.  A proper bankruptcy would have maintained order in capital markets and reallocated resources rationally without the $62 billion in taxpayer money that we had to borrow for the bailout.  As we service that debt, it will come out of the pockets of Americans who might otherwise have spent it on actual growth-producing activities — like buying cars.

In-sighting violence?

Wonder what you would find if you frisked a group of rowdy liberals in Nevada?

Answer: They decided it was a good idea to throw eggs at the Tea Party Express bus!

Hmm…

This is a question for the liberal mainstream media: So are you sure it is the Tea Partiers and Republicans out there in-sighting violence over political differences? Based on this video, it appears to be the total opposite. I think the MSM needs to dig a little deeper the next time they decide to report the so-called “news.”

Hey, let’s look at the bright side… At least these liberals didn’t threaten to kill Republican Rep. Eric Cantor.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), and Obama-Care’s favorability ratings?

Answer: Epically low!

Ouch! CBS News reports:

Pelosi and Reid are viewed unfavorably by roughly three times as many people as they are viewed favorably.

Pelosi’s favorable rating in the poll stands at 11 percent. Her unfavorable rating, meanwhile, is 37 percent — meaning that more than one in three views the California Democrat negatively.

[…]

Reid’s favorable rating, meanwhile, is even lower: Eight percent. His unfavorable rating stands at 23 percent.

The Nevada Democrat, who is facing a tough reelection battle, appears to be an unknown quantity to most Americans: Nearly seven in ten say they are say they are either undecided or haven’t heard enough about Reid to offer an opinion.

Not looking good for these two staunch liberals! Unfortunately, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s congressional district is located in the heart of America’s top liberal cesspool – San Francisco – and will probably be re-elected. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, on the other hand, will have an extremely tough fight to keep his job in Nevada. Thank God. Click here to see who is running against him.

In other polling news, CNN/Opinion Research Corporation released an interesting poll yesterday after President Obama’s socialized health-care bill passed in the U.S. House of Representatives on a straight Democratic party-line vote:

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll found that 59 percent of those surveyed opposed the bill, and 39 percent favored it. All of the interviews were conducted before the House voted Sunday night, but the contents of the bill were widely known.

This poll proves once again that the Democrats and Liberals inside Washington D.C. ignored the American people late Sunday night when they decided they knew what was best and rammed an unconstitutional, socialized health-care bill down our throats. Congratulations Democrats… You are a disgrace to the office you hold.

CONSERVATIVE VICTORY 2010! Let’s remove these snobs from their positions!

Please don’t forget to…

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the latest Rasmussen poll regarding the United States Congress’ approval ratings?

Answer: The lowest approval rating ever recorded for a Congress in Rasmussen history!

Congratulations Democrats! Rasmussen reports:

Voter unhappiness with Congress has reached the highest level ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports as 71% now say the legislature is doing a poor job.

That’s up ten points from the previous high of 61% reached a month ago.

Only 10% of voters say Congress is doing a good or excellent job.

Nearly half of Democratic voters (48%) now give Congress a poor rating, up 17 points since January. The vast majority of Republicans and voters not affiliated with either party also give Congress poor ratings.

Seventy percent (70%) of voters say Congress has not passed any legislation that would significantly improve life for Americans, up 10 points over the past month and the highest level of dissatisfaction measured in regular tracking in over three years. Only 15% say Congress has passed such legislation.

Forty percent (40%) of voters nationwide now say it is at least somewhat likely Congress will seriously address the most important issues facing the nation. That’s down from 59% last March. Only 9% say it is Very Likely Congress will address these issues.

EPIC FAIL.

Perhaps it’s ridiculous statements like these made by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) that largely contributes to Congress’ negative perception.

Harry Reid (D-NV).

Wonder what you would find if you frisked Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s reason to pass a $15 billion package meant to spur job creation?

Answer: Domestic abuse will skyrocket if the bill does not pass or something…

What a great argument to get a spending bill passed. 😆 The Hill reports:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) suggested Monday that domestic violence by men has increased due to U.S. joblessness.

Reid, speaking in the midst of a Senate debate over whether to pass a $15 billion package meant to spur job creation, appeared to argue that joblessness would lead to more domestic violence.

“I met with some people while I was home dealing with domestic abuse. It has gotten out of hand,” Reid said on the Senate floor. “Why? Men don’t have jobs.”

Yikes… Should Harry Reid’s wife be worried come November? 😆 In the end, the real question here is:

If passing a jobs bill is needed to rescue women (and men) in distress, then why didn’t this moron and his caucus get to work on it earlier instead of focusing on Obama-Care to the exclusion of all else?

Wonder what you would find if you frisked some of the comments made by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV)?

Answer: They might be a little on the racist side.

You decide:

The top Democrat in the U.S. Senate apologized on Saturday for comments he made about Barack Obama’s race during the 2008 presidential bid.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada described then-Sen. Barack Obama as “light skinned” and “with no Negro dialect.” Obama is the nation’s first African-American president.

“I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans for my improper comments,” Reid said in a statement released after the excerpts were reported on the Web site of The Atlantic.

[…]

Reid’s comments are included in a book set to be published on Monday. “Game Change” was written by Time Magazine’s Mark Halperin and New York magazine’s John Heilemann; the pair describe the book in interviews during Sunday’s “60 Minutes” on CBS.

Of course President Obama quickly accepted Sen. Reid’s apology:

Obama quickly accepted, saying “As far as I am concerned, the book is closed.”

As Ed Morrissey from Hot Air pointed out, it’s now time for the extreme liberal hypocrisy to begin… Yippy:

When Trent Lott made a foolish statement at Strom Thurmond’s birthday party about his presidential run on a segregation tick, the media outcry forced Lott to resign his leadership position.  Will this more explicit insult create any consequences for Reid?  It certainly won’t help his favorability ratings, which have tanked even before this incident.

[…]

Reader Geoff A. e-mails with a reminder that when Don Imus made his own problematic racial crack a few years ago and then apologized, The One was … less forgiving.

Don’t forget about the Rev. Al Sharpton who always has to toss in his two cents when any racial comments are brought up. Only this time he instantly forgives his liberal friend Sen. Reid – go figure:

I have learned of certain unfortunate comments made by Senator Reid regarding President Barack Obama and have spoken with Senator Reid about those comments. While there is no question that Senator Reid did not select the best word choice in this instance, these comments should not distract America from its continued focus on securing healthcare or creating jobs for its people. Nor should they detract from the unquestionable leadership role Senator Reid has played on these issues or in the area of civil rights. Senator Reid’s door has always been open on hearing from the civil rights community on these issues and I look forward to continue to work with Senator Reid wherever possible to improve the lives of Americans everywhere.

Ahh yes! Liberal hypocrisy… What a complete joke.

Side-Note: Remember when Sen. Reid compared Republicans to slave owners a month ago? I might have to agree with RNC Chair Michael Steele and other Republican leaders… It’s time for Sen. Reid to step down as Senate majority leader.

*UPDATE* – January 11, 2009

Watch Ann Coulter destroy Al Sharpton on the issue of the Democrat’s racial double standards on FOX News’ Geraldo At Large:

Interesting… Al Sharpton kept asking which Conservative/Republican the Democrats have gone after for being ‘racist’… How about ALL the tea partiers? Once again, the liberal’s racial hypocrisy is an epic failure.
