Wonder what you would find if you frisked MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski during her interview with Harvard’s Niall Ferguson?

Answer: She gets schooled.

Mediaiate reports:

Niall Ferguson, Harvard professor and Newsweek columnist, rained on the Morning Joe parade this morning by arguing President Obama blew it in Egypt and has now left the country in a fragile state potentially susceptible to domination by the Muslim Brotherhood. Prior to hearing Ferguson, Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough thought Obama did pretty well with the situation, however Ferguson passionately attempted to convince them otherwise.

Wow… This was excellent. Props to Niall Ferguson.

If you want to read Niall Ferguson’s Newsweek article that was discussed in the video clip above, you can find it here.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the liberal mainstream media’s coverage of the tragic Tucson, Arizona shooting?

Answer: Some of the dumbest political sound-bites you have ever heard.

Props to Reason.tv for parting together this video:

Immediately following last week’s tragic events in Tucson, television pundits fell over each another to assign blame. According to the professional talking heads–and despite any actual evidence–the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords could be pinned on the Tea Party, Ayn Rand, gold enthusiasts, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, heavy metal, marijuana, and/or the “heated rhetoric” of cable news. Reason.tv trawls the archives and compiles the dumbest responses from America’s dumbest pundits.

To be honest, with all of the stupidity that came from the mainstream media last week, I am pretty sure that this video could have easily been a lot longer.

After watching a video like this, it is hard not to want to shake some sense into these people. Wait… Is shaking too “vitriolic” these days? I can’t keep track anymore.

Side-Note: Not like any of you care, but I am starting to get extremely annoyed by the word “vitriol” being tossed around by political pundits more often than a game of Hot Potato. I beg you all, please open up a thesaurus and find a few alternatives.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the liberal mainstream media over the past few days?

Answer: As Bill O’Reilly points out, the “Merchants of Hate” have been unleashed.

The news coverage over Saturday’s tragic shooting has been one of the lowest moments for the mainstream media and Bill O’Reilly hit the nail on the head last night:

Liberals are furious that their far-left vision is falling apart so they’re using a terrible tragedy, using it, to attack their perceived political enemies. That’s what this is all about – the failure of the far-left agenda.

First of all, those on the left side of the political aisle are the ones who are exploiting this tragic event to feed their own political agenda – period. Are there some conservatives out there using this towards their political advantage? I am sure there are a few, but it is no one with a loud voice within the conservative movement.

Let’s face the facts. When liberal columnists first heard that a Democrat congresswoman was shot, they immediately stormed to their computers to type up their deranged fantasies (e.g. Paul Krugman) that the shooter was some radical right-wing individual who went on a rampage. These types of desperate and despicable attempts to deceive the American public flooded the airwaves, twitter, and other internet news sites just moments after tragedy struck the city of Tucson, Arizona.

Truth is, through the liberal media’s lies and political agenda of criminalizing conservatism, we were unable to fully grasp and grieve over Saturday’s tragic event. Instead, conservatives were forced to go on the defensive.

Unfortunately, instead of focusing on possible ways of uniting the American people around this tragedy, we were (and still are) forced to point out the vicious lies that are being circulated by the powerful left.

We have journalists, celebrities, and public officials going down their recycled political enemies list: Governor Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Rep. Allen West (R-FL), Bill O’Reilly, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Sharron Angle, and plenty more. Some Democrats even had the nerve to toss the United States Constitution on their enemies list!

According the far-left, Governor Palin is responsible for Saturday’s shooting, because her website used a graphic design with (imaginary) “cross-hairs” that represented vulnerable congressional districts. Rep. Bachmann (R-MN) and Sharron Angle are responsible, because of certain political metaphors that they chose to use in the past. The others are responsible, because of their so-called “violent” rhetoric.

Nothing could be further from the truth! It is our job to hold the media responsible.

So if anyone is asking themselves, “Why can’t America just unite as one and put politics aside over this horrendous event?” The answer is clear: The far-left and some in the liberal mainstream media didn’t want us to. Instead, they wanted to prove that they were right along about the Tea Party movement. They desperately want to prove their narrative that the Tea Party is filled with a bunch of loose cannons ready to go off at any second. Once again, they were wrong.

Sadly, it is the left who is The Rack of public and political discourse.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the liberal mainstream media and their coverage of the Rep. Giffords shooting?

Answer: They cannot resist the urge to use tragedies in order to play politics.

First, click here to see some of the crucial facts that the liberal mainstream media has been ignoring.

In my blog post yesterday, I mentioned that it comes as no surprise that the liberal mainstream and others from the Left are trying to use this tragic event to play politics. Those who are blaming this horrible event on Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, Fox News, the Republican Party, and other conservative political identities are immature and irresponsible.

What’s the reason for all of this? Glenn Reynolds – from The Wall Street Journal – elaborates:

Shortly after November’s electoral defeat for the Democrats, pollster Mark Penn appeared on Chris Matthews’s TV show and remarked that what President Obama needed to reconnect with the American people was another Oklahoma City bombing. To judge from the reaction to Saturday’s tragic shootings in Arizona, many on the left (and in the press) agree, and for a while hoped that Jared Lee Loughner’s killing spree might fill the bill.

With only the barest outline of events available, pundits and reporters seemed to agree that the massacre had to be the fault of the tea party movement in general, and of Sarah Palin in particular. Why? Because they had created, in New York Times columnist Paul Krugman’s words, a “climate of hate.”

To be clear, if you’re using this event to criticize the “rhetoric” of Mrs. Palin or others with whom you disagree, then you’re either: (a) asserting a connection between the “rhetoric” and the shooting, which based on evidence to date would be what we call a vicious lie; or (b) you’re not, in which case you’re just seizing on a tragedy to try to score unrelated political points, which is contemptible. Which is it?

I understand the desperation that Democrats must feel after taking a historic beating in the midterm elections and seeing the popularity of ObamaCare plummet while voters flee the party in droves. But those who purport to care about the health of our political community demonstrate precious little actual concern for America’s political well-being when they seize on any pretext, however flimsy, to call their political opponents accomplices to murder.

Where is the decency in that?

I believe the last paragraph says it loud and clear. The Left is so frustrated that they cannot find any hardcore evidence against the Tea Party movement in order to use it against them and discredit their political ideology – plain and simple. Therefore, we can only expect a lot more garbage and nonsense to spew out of the enormous megaphone known as the liberal mainstream media. Heck, it has already started.

Here are some of the liberals who are trying to play politics with this tragic story (this list will be constantly updated):

Expect this list to grow quickly…

Wonder what you would find if you frisked Keith Olbermann’s special comments on the US Rep. Gabrielle Giffords shooting?

Answer: He blames the Safeway Massacre on Sarah Palin, Rep. Allen West (R-FL), the Tea Party, Sharron Angle, Glenn Beck, and Bill O’Reilly.

I am sorry, but this is absolutely pathetic and irresponsible. Perhaps the folks over at MSNBC did not hand Mr. Olbermann the memo, but there has not been any absolute motive reported so far. Also, it is interesting that Mr. Olbermann forgot to include these crucial details about the shooter:

  • He shot and killed a Federal Judge that was appointed by Republican President George H.W. Bush.
  • His favorite books included Hilter’s Mein Kampf and Karl Marx’s Communist Maniefesto.
  • One of his former high school classmates said, “As I knew him he was left wing, quite liberal.”
  • One of his favorite videos on YouTube was of a person dressed as the Grim Reaper burning the American flag.

I cannot speak for Keith Olbermann, but that sure does not sound like the typical Sarah Palin or Tea Party supporter. In all honesty, it sounds like someone that leans left of the political spectrum. Either way, the shooter – Jared Loughner – was more insane than he was anything else. I just wish Kieth Olbermann and all of the other irresponsible journalists in the liberal mainstream media would realize this.

Here’s an interesting refresher that some of these so-called journalists (Keith Olbermann, Paul Krugman, etc.) should take a look at:

The liberal mainstream media should learn a lesson from The National Review’s Jonah Goldberg:

I’ve been trying to follow the story today while balancing some other obligations. I’ve been reading the instant-reaction on Twitter and on the web and I’ve been trying to filter out the urge to vent my rage at those who immediately shoe-horned these awful crimes into their ideological prism. There have been some truly disgusting displays of opportunism out there. I will confess to having made those kinds of mistakes in the past and I try very hard to learn from those mistakes.

If I had my druthers, the news networks would ban political commentators of all stripes for the first 24 hours after these kinds of tragedies. The rush to be wrong first is just too hard for some to resist.  If anyone cares, my column on the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting captures pretty well my feelings about the day.

Anyway, I’m going to hold off commenting until we know more. My thoughts and prayers to the families of all concerned.

Until more details have been released, I just hope the so-called journalists, such as Keith Olbermann, would keep their hatred for the right locked away inside their demented minds.

Unfortunately, I am sure more garbage like this will pop up over this weekend. Oh wait… It has already started.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the liberal mainstream media tonight while they cover the 2010 midterm election results?

Answer: A game that allows you to enjoy their desperate attempts to fabricate excuses on why Democrats lost.

Behold! The 2010 Election Day Liberal Media Spin Drinking Game!

Props to Timothy Carney at The Washington Examiner:

Below are the liberal platitudes to explain away the election, followed by a brief explanation of why they’re so silly. Any time you hear one of these platitudes, take a drink. (But if you’re watching MSNBC, we recommend cutting the portions in half — and still telling your boss you won’t be in before lunch on Wednesday).

RULES: Take a drink every time you hear an anchor, pundit, or other TV talking head…

  • Say “Anti-incumbent.” No, this isn’t an anti-incumbent year. The only Republican Senator even remotely close to losing her seat Tuesday is Lisa Murkowski, a write-in candidate who lost her primary for being too liberal. Somewhere from zero to three House Republicans will lose, and those include Hawaii and New Orleans. There might be one or two Republican governors fall, but in all likelihood, this an anti-Democrat year.
Suggested drink: A Hurricane or a Mai Tai, local drinks of New Orleans and Hawaii, respectively — the only districts where GOP congressmen (Joe Cao and Charles Djou) are likely to fall.
  • Say “temper-tantrum.” Recall this Peter Jennings gem from 1994: “Some thoughts on those angry voters. Ask parents of any two-year-old and they can tell you about those temper tantrums: the stomping feet, the rolling eyes, the screaming. It’s clear that the anger controls the child and not the other way around. It’s the job of the parent to teach the child to control the anger and channel it in a positive way. Imagine a nation full of uncontrolled two-year-old rage. The voters had a temper tantrum last week….Parenting and governing don’t have to be dirty words: the nation can’t be run by an angry two-year-old.”
Suggested drink: A Jello Shot. Two-year-olds love jello.
  • Say “blind rage” Remember, rebuking Bush and throwing out Republicans was about finding our better angels. Rebuking Obama and throwing out Democrats is about blind range.
    Suggested drink: Irish Whiskey
  • Blame Obama for not “getting his message out” Both sides do this: if my side is losing, it must be only because we didn’t communicate our ideas and plans well enough — it can’t be because people didn’t like what we were doing! With Obama, it’s even more absurd. The man, famous for his eloquence, was constantly campaigning.
    Suggested drink: spiked Slurpee
  • Chalk it up to voter racism: Americans figured out a black guy was running the country, and they freaked out, deciding to “take back America” for the white guys.
    Suggested drink: White Russian.
  • Mention that one guy who owns a McDonalds who (possibly inappropriately) told his employees to vote Republican. Because we’re sure that tipped the balance of the election.
    Suggested drink: Spiked (flavorless) milkshake
  • Say “secret money” Because it doesn’t matter that Democrats outraised Republicans from the most politically active industries in America, including Wall Street. It doesn’t matter that K Street favored Dems 2-to-1 with campaign contributions. The public-employee unions don’t count as a special interest. It’s just that secret Republican money that’s insidious.
    Suggested drink: Rum-and-Koch
  • Drink for every block in which Christine O’Donnell is the most-mentioned candidate. Talking about Christine O’Donnell is very important therapy for liberals. First, it allows them to feel smarter than conservatives — O’Donnell says a lot of silly things, and is a conservative woman, both of which make her a prime target of smug liberal mockery. Also, this is a rare open seat Democrats will win. Combine those two points, and it gives liberal anchors a chance to say their favorite line: Republicans need to be moderate to win.
    Suggested drink: Witch’s Wit ale.

Have fun Conservatives and remember to always drink responsibly!

Wonder what you would find if you frisked MSNBC and all the other liberal mainstream media outlets?

Answer: They are trying to paint FOX News as an illegitimate news organization (again), because Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation has donated $1 million to the Republican Governors Association.

😯 Sounds like we got a huge scandal on our hands, don’t we?! In reality (something liberals don’t experience too often), it’s not a big deal at all. Why? Well, it’s simply the liberal mainstream media/Obama propaganda machine going full speed ahead while forgetting to mention a few key points. Perhaps, Keith Olbermann, the idiot from Media Matters, or the rest of the MSM could have asked, “Has Rupert Murdoch ever donated large sums of money to the Democratic Party?” The Washington Post has that answer:

Until now, the News Corp./Fox political action committee had given 54 percent of its donations to Democrats and 46 percent to Republicans, according to the Center for Responsive Politics — including $8,000 to Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid’s campaign committee and $5,000 toHouse Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s organization. News Corp. also gave $45,000 each to GOP and Democratic campaign committees on Capitol Hill.

😯 Oh my God! No way! That’s so weird! Why would Keith Olbermann or any of the other far-left liberal loons forget to mention the other side of the story? Say it with me now: prop·a·gan·da…

Also, maybe the far-left would like to explain this little recent moment in history:

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., attended a fundraiser Monday for her Senate re-election campaign hosted by conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

Murdoch has maintained that Clinton has been a good senator and that his support for her now doesn’t say anything about who he might back for president in 2008.

Oops! That must have slipped their minds as well, but no worries… Comedian John Stewart has also attacked Fox News for Rupert Murdoch’s $1 million donation to the RGA. Unfortunately for Mr. Stewart, he also failed to look at the bigger picture: How much money did Viacom (the parent company of Comedy Central) donate to Democrats throughout the years? Interestingly enough, so far this year Viacom has contributed 62% of its money to Democrats and only 38% to Republicans. Should we stop there? No, what would be the fun in that? In 2008, the ratio just so happened to be 58% Democrats and only 42% Republicans.

Liberal hypocrisy? You betcha.

*UPDATE* – August 19, 2010 – 1:15 PM.

Reminder: Jeffrey Immelt (CEO of NBC Universal parent GE) is on President Obama’s economic advisory board. If anyone would like to criticize a news organization for being in bed with politicians, perhaps they should look at that relationship first. Don’t you think?
