The banner above the should read “Typical Politician”, but U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) finally admitted that he has been lying all week long. The lewd photograph that showed up on his official Twitter account last week was indeed his.

Fox News reports:

Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., admitted Monday in a stunning press conference that he sent a lewd photo to a woman over Twitter, after claiming for days that he was hacked. Saying he is “deeply ashamed,” he also said he’s had explicit exchanges with six women over the last three years, some of which occurred after he got married in 2010.

But the seven-term congressman said he would not resign, expressing hope that he could win back the trust of his constituents.

Can Rep. Weiner survive this politically?:

“This is probably not a death blow to Weiner’s chances of holding on to his House seat or even his shot at being mayor: New Yorkers are pretty forgiving about these kinds of things,” NYU political science professor Patrick Egan told The Daily Caller. “But in the short term it probably hurts his fundraising.”

[…]

Others say he’s done.

“Congressman Weiner’s political career may well be over,” said Republican Ron Christie. “First the lewd image, then his anger-fueled media encounters have not made him an endearing nor sympathetic figure. Toss in more tweets to a porn star and his lack of certitude about the picture’s authenticity may well have many in New York City questioning his.”

Whether he recovers or not, full-rehabilitation in the public sphere may take some time.

Even though I am a staunch Republican, I truly believe that Rep. Weiner should resign immediately. He lied to every camera placed in front of him last week and only called for a press conference today, because he was backed into a corner that he could not escape.

Quit Question: Do you really want a 46 year-old congressman, who sends lewd photos of himself to 20+ year-old females, in charge of legislation that effects the lives of every American?

*UPDATE* – June 6, 2011 – 10:30 PM.

…Or maybe this whole “Weinergate” scandal isn’t Rep. Weiner’s fault at all. After all, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews believes Rep. Anthony Weiner’s wife may be “partly responsible” for his sexual misconduct:

Really dude?

Wonder what you would find if you frisked Rep. Anthony Weiner’s (D-NY-9) Twitter page yesterday?

Answer: He’s showing proud support for the Republican Party!

Well, at least he didn’t mean to…

According to Rep. Weiner’s Twitter page:

It takes a great man to build a barn. Any jackass can kick it down. Campaign ’10: You with the builders or the asses?

Hmm? The last time I checked, the elephant symbolized the GOP and the donkey (or ass) symbolized the Democratic Party. It’s okay Anthony, because the facts were bound to hit you at some point in your life. Personally, I’m glad you made this realization public. 😆

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY)

Wonder what you would find if you frisked Rep. Anthony Weiner’s (D-NY) interview on MSNBC’s The Morning Joe?

Answer: If Scott Brown is elected in Massachusetts today, the Democrat’s Obama-care bill might be dead.

Yippy! Should I put the champagne bottles on ice? Eh… probably not yet, but these are all good signs.

Remember, Rep. Weiner is a huge advocate for a single-payer system and appears to be very hesitant on voting for the current Senate version of Obama-care unless significant changes are made. All of which – in the world of politics – can be a coin flip on any given day.

Massachusetts! Elect Scott Brown today and help us KILL THE BILL!

Wonder what you would find if you frisked Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on an airplane?

Answer: Better bring a bar soup, because his mouth needs to be washed out – haha.

Now this is just rude:

According to a House Republican aide who happened to be seated nearby, the notoriously chatty New York Democrat referred to a flight attendant as a “bitch” after she ordered him to turn off his phone before takeoff.

Schumer and his seatmate, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), were chatting on their phones before takeoff when an announcement indicated that it was time to turn off the phones.

Both senators kept talking.

Way to stay classy Democrats…

If this were a Republican who used derogatory language toward a female flight attendant, Democrats would be throwing a hissy-fit in an attempt to get the individual tossed out of office. It’s funny how certain things work.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the streets of New York City on December 5, 2009?

Answer: Some angry Americans.

True Americans: Hundreds of people gathered outside in the freezing cold weather of New York City to protest against the Obama Administration’s plan to try five Gitmo detainees in civilian court just blocks away from where the World Trade Center once stood. One of those detainees includes Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind behind the September 11 attacks who was captured on the BATTLEFIELD.

Props to the Gathering of Eagles blog for the photographs.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. that was suppose to take place in New York or New Jersey?

Answer: High state taxes make the fight impossible.

I believe the boxing referee is counting down, because New York and New Jersey are definitely getting knocked out on this one:

It appears the Tax Man is about to do to Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. what Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto could not.

Namely, knock both of them out.

Out of New York, that is. And New Jersey, too.

Poor Yankee Stadium and Meadowlands:

But last night, Arum dropped the hammer on the fight taking place anywhere east of the Mississippi River.

“No chance,” Arum said. “Nothing would please me more than to have it at Yankee Stadium, but the way the tax structure in New York is set up, it’s impossible.”

It appears the fight will be at Jerry Jones’ new $1 billion-plus Cowboys Stadium! Wonder what’s the tax difference between the liberal East Coast and conservative Texas? Easy, there’s a lot of difference:

The answer is, no state taxes in Texas and a ton of them in New York and New Jersey. According to Arum, the fighters could lose more than $12 million in taxes if the fight takes place in New York and slightly less if it winds up in the Meadowlands.

Arum said that between New York State and city taxes and a tax levied on nonresident independent contractors performing in New York, the fighters – and the promoter – would lose 15 percent of all revenue generated by the bout.

“It’s just not economically feasible to do events like that in New York,” Arum said. “It’s ridiculous, really.”

The bright blue states just received an uppercut of reality, because no one likes taxes! It appears the East Coast lost out on possibly one of the greatest fights, but don’t worry… Texans will enjoy ALL the benefits and business that will come with the match.

Side-Note: With taxes shooting up faster than a firework display on the 4th of July, boxing promoters aren’t the only ones keeping an eye on taxes. Carlos Boozer of the Utah Jazz has also voiced his concerns in regards to state taxes.

As liberals spend frantically, I’d expect more of these situations to pop up in the future. Mark my words.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the liberal New York Times?

Answer: They are fleeing to Florida to avoid paying for New York taxes.

Typical liberal company: First, they promote and vote liberal politicians into office. Then those politicians race to increase taxes and regulate as much as possible. Then, as Glenn Beck’s newsletter puts it, everyone (including the liberals who voted for the liberals) gets annoyed at all the taxes and leaves for somewhere with less tax and less control.

It just so happens the New York Times is one of those companies:

The New York Times is relocating some wire service positions to Gainesville, creating about 25 jobs that will be housed in The Gainesville Sun building starting in February.

The New York Times reported Friday that 25 of 30 news service jobs in New York were being eliminated, with five employees retaining their positions.

But don’t worry:

The layoffs do not count toward the planned elimination of 100 jobs in The New York Times newsroom. That 8 percent reduction is to take effect by the end of the year.

Side-Note: I love it when liberals, especially the New York Times, prove their hypocrisy. It’s absolutely priceless!
