Posts Tagged ‘Protests’

Originally, I decided to write a blog post about all of the angry, unhinged liberals that have been “occupying” cities all over the country. Unfortunately, I can’t stop there. After going through video after video of these “protests,” I decided to put together one about the clueless individuals present as well.

Reason TV reported:

On October 4, 2011, Reason.tv visited the Occupy Wall Street protests at Liberty Square in Lower Manhattan, on Day 18 of the ongoing demonstration.

The crowd was relatively small at about 300, and included educated but unemployed workers, college students and recent graduates, homeless drifters, performance artists, 9/11 truthers, and a not-insignificant number of journalists.

Do you think their message is quite incoherent? Don’t worry… There’s more:

Seriously… Did anyone come prepared to answer the most obvious question: “Why are you here?”

To be fair to the “protesters”, not even a former high school teacher of mine – who supports the Occupy Wall Street movement – could answer the simple question of what the central message was.

Perhaps this video will explain their central message:

No? Well this kid has to have all the answers we’re looking for, right?:

Sadly, this kid just makes me shake my head in embarrassment that he’s from my home state. Why? Because he’s wrong on almost everything he says! Let’s break it down:

Misinformed Kid: “Like, I just moved out here from Michigan and we had a governor named Rick Snyder and he was a businessman previously and he just started so much f***ed up s*** in my town there. “

  • Fact Check: I realize I’m starting off by being picky, but the last I checked Governor Rick Snyder was still the governor of Michigan.

Misinformed Kid: “He made it so that … uh … he could like hire an emergency financial-like-adviser who could takeover and be our governor without us even voting for him. And… That way – mumble – our town could have been taken over by like big corporations such as Walmart.”

  • Fact Check: First of all, there can only be one governor of Michigan at a time. Second, the legislation he is referring to just simply gives emergency financial managers more authority to keep cities and school districts out of bankruptcy. In the end, no one – especially Walmart CEOs – is going to takeover any cities in Michigan. Also, let’s just be honest here… If this kid’s accusation was even the least bit true, what company would ever want to takeover a Detroit school district, Benton Harbor, Ecorse or Pontiac? Answer: No one with a head on their shoulders.
Misinformed Kid: “Places like Michigan where I was from, people don’t really see anything like this that’s going on so they don’t get this stuff brought up. All they see is what’s on Fox News and what these big companies are reporting.”
  • Fact Check: Where do I start with this one? Personally, Michiganders would be a lot better off if they never saw this garbage. As for his claim that Michiganders get their news from Fox News, I would remind him that Michigan has been quite the blue-state over the past couple decades. If they were consistently watching Fox News, I would hope the message would get through a little easier, no?
Misinformed Kid: “I don’t have a huge knowledge on the Tea Party, but mostly what I’ve heard about them just kind of seems like bulls***. Um, it’s mostly people like Sarah Palin. Also, most people I know who voted for her didn’t really know any of her political agendas. All they were like was “Oh, she has a TV show and that’s cool”. I think that’s what’s really f***ed up about politics.”
  • Fact Check: Does he mean people who voted for John McCain who just so happened to have Sarah Palin as his running mate? To be fair, maybe the kid has a couple older friends from Alaska who voted for her as governor, but I highly doubt it. Also, no one has had the opportunity to vote for Sarah Palin since her television show aired on TLC. Perhaps the kid’s timeline of events is a little off, because that show came after the 2008 election. Haha.

You get the point.

In conclusion, I will leave you with this image from the Occupy Wall Street event that showed up in an overseas publication:

Stay classy.

This is just weird and creepy:

You have got to be kidding me…

Don’t worry folks, it gets even better (h/t The Right Scoop):

*UPDATE* – October 19, 2011 – 12:11 AM

This Occupy Wall Street protester wants college paid for because that’s what he wants. If that logic or complaining sounds familiar, it should. It’s just like a five year-old’s reasoning for throwing a temper tantrum because they don’t get what they want (h/t National Review):

Typical.

*UPDATE* – October 19, 2011 – 12:15 AM

Great, here comes the Marxist idiots:

Video from Tea Party Television and description by The Right Scoop:

Tea Party TV went to Occupy Oakland and I don’t think there is a better representation of Marxism in our country than in their video. Warning: it may make you want to hit your head on your desk multiple times. I recommend using a pillow instead. Just remember to breath.

Wow… This group’s outlook and logic on life is extremely baffling.

*UPDATE* – October 19, 2011 – 12:20 AM

Video commentary by The Right Scoop:

This is classic OWS stupidity. One of several protesters complains to Citibank about loans that she voluntarily took out for college, loans that amount to over $100k, and now that she’s going to have a $1600 payment every month and doesn’t have a job, she blames Citibank. But how is this Citibank’s fault? She even said her parents allowed her to take out these big loans because they wanted her to have a great education. But now that she’s jobless, instead of showing up at the White House to protest, she shows up at the bank to blame them. How ridiculous!

[…]

Now I don’t know this one girl’s story, but I’m betting that she wanted to go to a college of her choosing and after months of whining about it, her parents finally yielded to her choice since she was all growed up. And now look at her. What a fine ignoramus she has become. Obama would be so proud.

Typical entitlement mindset. In all honesty, it’s sad to watch.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the anti-war movement these days?

Answer: The attendance at anti-war rallies have decreased significantly.

Has America’s overall foreign policy changed at all? Mmm, not so much. So what else has changed since President Bush left office? Reason.TV explains:

Even as President Obama maintains close to 50,000 troops in Iraq and continues to escalate and expand the war in Afghanistan, the antiwar movement in America continues to shrink (PDF).

So, what happened?

Reason.tv visited two antiwar protests—one left-leaningone libertarian—in an attempt to answer that question. Author and historian Thaddeus Russell and Reason Senior Editor Brian Doherty also weigh in.

War, it seems, is a bipartisan venture, which is reflected by the fact that Democrats have a favorable view of Obama’s foreign policy, despite its remarkable similarity to George W. Bush’s foreign policy. And though there have been rumblings of antiwar sentiment from some on the RightRepublicans remain strongly in favor of an interventionist foreign policy.

Although public sentiment is turning against the war in Afghanistan, the always-shifting withdrawal deadlines and the unwillingness to touch defense spending mean that this bipartisan war is likely to continue far into the future.

It is obvious that Democrats (especially young ones) just wanted go out and yell at something, because of their hatred for the previous administration. Now that they have one of their own in the White House, they seem to be struggling with a little case of amnesia. For the sake of our national defense, it is good thing that a majority of Democrats have jumped on the bandwagon that the Republicans have been steering for almost a decade now.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the latest study of Tea Party activists?

Answer: Most oppose a third party and many are new to the political scene.

It’s about time someone conducted a study on the Tea Party movement, but I am sure this study will be ignored by all the liberal news outlets. Let’s be honest, a thousand studies could say the Tea Party movement is full of the nicest people in our country and the mainstream media would still paint them as racists, fascists, and violent fearmongers.

Breitbart reports:

A new study released today reveals that Tea Party activists are motivated by feelings of responsibility to future generations and belief in America’s founding principles, but still struggle with questions of leadership and identity. The study conducted by Sam Adams Alliance, The Early Adopters: Reading the Tea Leaves, also reveals that Tea Party activists are a diverse group trying – often for the first time – to change the political landscape by holding elected officials more accountable.

The Sam Adams report offers the first-ever insights into the Tea Party movement that include a survey sample made up entirely of recognized Tea Party activists.

“A lot of surveys have focused on the Tea Party movement, but they’ve been about what others think of them, and don’t reveal the motives of actual Tea Partiers,” said Sam Adams Alliance chairman Eric O’Keefe. “We decided to learn what the Tea Party leaders are up to the old fashioned way: We asked them.”

The findings confirm that a large number of Tea Party activists are politically involved for the first time. 47 percent of activists surveyed said that they were “uninvolved” or “rarely involved” in politics before their participation in Tea Party groups.

Three political issues stood out as being the most important to Tea Party activists. When asked which issues were “very important” to them, 92 percent said “budget,” 85 percent said “economy,” and 80 percent said “defense.” No respondents listed social issues as an “important direction” for the movement.

Other findings of the study include:

  • 86 percent oppose the formation of a third-party.
  • 36 percent support a 2012 Sarah Palin Presidential candidacy.
  • 81 percent have a website for their organization.
  • 90 percent cited “to stand up for my beliefs” when characterizing their initial reason for involvement.
  • 62 percent identified as Republicans, 28 percent as Independents, 10 percent as “Tea Party”

I must say: Interesting information! 💡 Click here if you would like to read the results of the full report.

Side-Note: Seriously… How were the people conducting the research able to get close enough to the Tea Partiers to ask them these questions!? After all, they are a ruthless and angry mob of individuals! 😆

Obama-Admin-Amnesia

Huh? What...???

Wonder what you would find if you frisked Robert Gibbs’s White House Daily Briefing on November 6, 2009?

Answer: Apparently everyone in Obama’s Administration is suffering from amnesia of what occurred during the last 8 years.

Oh Robert Gibbs, you did it again! He’s definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Video-Note: Remember: nothing prior to 01/20/2009 is REAL to these people. And that includes all the fools that they encouraged to go mad for the Democrats’ political benefit.

In case you were busy looking at the photos, here’s a recap of what Robert Gibbs said:

You hear in this debate, you hear analogies, you hear references to, you see pictures about and depictions of individuals that are truly stunning, and you hear it all the time. People — imagine five years ago somebody comparing health care reform to 9/11. Imagine just a few years ago had somebody walked around with images of Hitler. Hopefully we can get back to a discussion about the issues that are important in this country that we can do so without being personally disagreeable and set up comparisons to things that were so insidious in our history that anybody in any profession or walk of life would be well advised to compare nothing to those atrocities.

Hmm… I guess he missed all of these liberal idiots and their signs:

Haha.

Haha.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the liberal Starbucks’ latest commercial?

Answer: Funny stuff.

Hmm… A major liberal company, such as Starbucks, is shoveling money into parody town hall protest ads. Hmm… Is this an admission that they believe it was really effective? I think so!

Overall, I enjoyed this funny advertisement. Now liberals can take their Starbucks instant blend on the go while they plan their next move towards socialism, HAHA.

WARNING: Whatever you do! Do not allow Nancy Pelosi to view this advertisement! She probably thinks this will lead to political violence… as she sheds a tear of course.

Some blood left behind.

Some blood left behind.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked a health care rally in Thousand Oaks, California?

Answer: An anti-Obamacare protester missing a pinky finger because it was bit off by an Obamacare supporter!

Personally, I feel Mr. Rice should not of punched his attacker, which lead to the incident. But biting a man’s finger off!? When I first saw this story on the internet, I thought it was someone blowing an incident way out of proportion. Turns out, the story was pretty legit. From te looks of the video Mr. Rice seems pretty laid back, but that might be the medication he’s on for the pain, haha.

KTLA reports more:

About 100 protesters sponsored by MoveOn.org were having a rally supporting health care reform.

A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street.

The finger-biting incident occurred after a member of the group protesting health care reform, William Rice, 65, of Newbury Park, became involved in a heated discussion with a member of Code Pink, sheriff’s Capt. Ross Bonfiglio said.

A man from Moveon.org’s area then walked over to the opponents and verbally confronted Rice, allegedly calling him names and acting aggressively, Bonfiglio said.

Rice later told investigators he felt threatened by the man and punched him in the nose, Bonfiglio said.

The punch set off a fist fight between the two men, during which the tip of Rice’s left pinky finger was bitten off, Bonfiglio said.

Hmm… What lesson did we learn here? Never underestimate the actions of a liberal, haha. WARNING: If you decide to flip an Obamacare supporter the bird, remember to keep a safe distance! You may never see your finger again.
