Originally, I decided to write a blog post about all of the angry, unhinged liberals that have been “occupying” cities all over the country. Unfortunately, I can’t stop there. After going through video after video of these “protests,” I decided to put together one about the clueless individuals present as well.

Reason TV reported:

On October 4, 2011, Reason.tv visited the Occupy Wall Street protests at Liberty Square in Lower Manhattan, on Day 18 of the ongoing demonstration.

The crowd was relatively small at about 300, and included educated but unemployed workers, college students and recent graduates, homeless drifters, performance artists, 9/11 truthers, and a not-insignificant number of journalists.

Do you think their message is quite incoherent? Don’t worry… There’s more:

Seriously… Did anyone come prepared to answer the most obvious question: “Why are you here?”

To be fair to the “protesters”, not even a former high school teacher of mine – who supports the Occupy Wall Street movement – could answer the simple question of what the central message was.

Perhaps this video will explain their central message:

No? Well this kid has to have all the answers we’re looking for, right?:

Sadly, this kid just makes me shake my head in embarrassment that he’s from my home state. Why? Because he’s wrong on almost everything he says! Let’s break it down:

Misinformed Kid: “Like, I just moved out here from Michigan and we had a governor named Rick Snyder and he was a businessman previously and he just started so much f***ed up s*** in my town there. “

  • Fact Check: I realize I’m starting off by being picky, but the last I checked Governor Rick Snyder was still the governor of Michigan.

Misinformed Kid: “He made it so that … uh … he could like hire an emergency financial-like-adviser who could takeover and be our governor without us even voting for him. And… That way – mumble – our town could have been taken over by like big corporations such as Walmart.”

  • Fact Check: First of all, there can only be one governor of Michigan at a time. Second, the legislation he is referring to just simply gives emergency financial managers more authority to keep cities and school districts out of bankruptcy. In the end, no one – especially Walmart CEOs – is going to takeover any cities in Michigan. Also, let’s just be honest here… If this kid’s accusation was even the least bit true, what company would ever want to takeover a Detroit school district, Benton Harbor, Ecorse or Pontiac? Answer: No one with a head on their shoulders.
Misinformed Kid: “Places like Michigan where I was from, people don’t really see anything like this that’s going on so they don’t get this stuff brought up. All they see is what’s on Fox News and what these big companies are reporting.”
  • Fact Check: Where do I start with this one? Personally, Michiganders would be a lot better off if they never saw this garbage. As for his claim that Michiganders get their news from Fox News, I would remind him that Michigan has been quite the blue-state over the past couple decades. If they were consistently watching Fox News, I would hope the message would get through a little easier, no?
Misinformed Kid: “I don’t have a huge knowledge on the Tea Party, but mostly what I’ve heard about them just kind of seems like bulls***. Um, it’s mostly people like Sarah Palin. Also, most people I know who voted for her didn’t really know any of her political agendas. All they were like was “Oh, she has a TV show and that’s cool”. I think that’s what’s really f***ed up about politics.”
  • Fact Check: Does he mean people who voted for John McCain who just so happened to have Sarah Palin as his running mate? To be fair, maybe the kid has a couple older friends from Alaska who voted for her as governor, but I highly doubt it. Also, no one has had the opportunity to vote for Sarah Palin since her television show aired on TLC. Perhaps the kid’s timeline of events is a little off, because that show came after the 2008 election. Haha.

You get the point.

In conclusion, I will leave you with this image from the Occupy Wall Street event that showed up in an overseas publication:

Stay classy.

*UPDATE* – October 18, 2011 – 11:50 PM

This is just weird and creepy:

You have got to be kidding me…

Don’t worry folks, it gets even better (h/t The Right Scoop):

*UPDATE* – October 19, 2011 – 12:11 AM

This Occupy Wall Street protester wants college paid for because that’s what he wants. If that logic or complaining sounds familiar, it should. It’s just like a five year-old’s reasoning for throwing a temper tantrum because they don’t get what they want (h/t National Review):

Typical.

*UPDATE* – October 19, 2011 – 12:15 AM

Great, here comes the Marxist idiots:

Video from Tea Party Television and description by The Right Scoop:

Tea Party TV went to Occupy Oakland and I don’t think there is a better representation of Marxism in our country than in their video. Warning: it may make you want to hit your head on your desk multiple times. I recommend using a pillow instead. Just remember to breath.

Wow… This group’s outlook and logic on life is extremely baffling.

*UPDATE* – October 19, 2011 – 12:20 AM

Video commentary by The Right Scoop:

This is classic OWS stupidity. One of several protesters complains to Citibank about loans that she voluntarily took out for college, loans that amount to over $100k, and now that she’s going to have a $1600 payment every month and doesn’t have a job, she blames Citibank. But how is this Citibank’s fault? She even said her parents allowed her to take out these big loans because they wanted her to have a great education. But now that she’s jobless, instead of showing up at the White House to protest, she shows up at the bank to blame them. How ridiculous!

[…]

Now I don’t know this one girl’s story, but I’m betting that she wanted to go to a college of her choosing and after months of whining about it, her parents finally yielded to her choice since she was all growed up. And now look at her. What a fine ignoramus she has become. Obama would be so proud.

Typical entitlement mindset. In all honesty, it’s sad to watch.

Sen. Majority Leader Reid (D-NV).

Wonder what you would find if you frisked Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s thoughts on the automotive industry bailouts?

Answer: He believes that Ford, which refused to take government bailout money, only survived because of the government bailout.

🙄 Hmm… How does that one work? Simple: It doesn’t.

In reality (not Harry Reid’s liberal dream-world), Ford did have the chance to accept government bailout money, but chose not to. Isn’t it interesting that the only one of the Big Three who didn’t accept government money is doing the best?

What would have happened if none of them accepted those taxpayer bailout dollars? The Blog Prof believes that the government’s interference in the process did more harm than good:

Without the bailouts, GM and Chrysler could have gone through bankruptcy restructuring without the 800-lb government gorilla on their backs. As it is, the bankruptcy restructuring occurred in a way to help Obama’s primary constituency – unions – rather than the long-term health of the companies. We are yet to see whether the restructuring will work, but if it does, it will be despite the government takeover, not because of it. There are in fact plenty of good people still working for the autos. I know because some of them have been my best engineering students.

And Ed Morrissey – from Hot Air – sums it up:

And don’t forget that we spent over $60 billion on those bailouts just to see the companies go into bankruptcy anyway.  A proper bankruptcy would have maintained order in capital markets and reallocated resources rationally without the $62 billion in taxpayer money that we had to borrow for the bailout.  As we service that debt, it will come out of the pockets of Americans who might otherwise have spent it on actual growth-producing activities — like buying cars.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked President Obama’s enormous socialized health-care reform bill?

Answer: Another anti-growth mandate!

Go figure! More hidden negatives involving President Obama’s health-care reform bill have surfaced. This is all starting to make sense now, because – according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) – we had to pass the bill to find out what’s in it. Unfortunately, she might actually be right…

The Associated Press reports:

A requirement tucked into the nation’s massive health care bill will make calorie counts impossible for thousands of restaurants to hide and difficult for consumers to ignore. More than 200,000 fast food and other chain restaurants will have to include calorie counts on menus, menu boards and even drive-throughs.

The new law, which applies to any restaurant with 20 or more locations, directs the Food and Drug Administration to create a new national standard for menu labeling, superseding a growing number of state and city laws. President Barack Obama was expected to sign the health care legislation Tuesday.

The idea is to make sure that customers process the calorie information as they are ordering. Many restaurants currently post nutritional information in a hallway, on a hamburger wrapper or on their Web site. The new law will make calories immediately available for most items.

“The nutrition information is right on the menu or menu board next to the name of the menu item, rather than in a pamphlet or in tiny print on a poster, so that consumers can see it when they are making ordering decisions,” says Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin, chairman of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, who wrote the provision.

Talk about anti-business growth! Unfortunately restaurants aren’t the only thing getting attacked with the help of this Obama-Care mandate: Vending machines are also fair game:

The law will also apply to foods sold in vending machines, specifically those that do not have visible calorie listings on the front of the package.

Granted, knowing the exact number of calories in every single little item is not always a bad thing, but this is just ridiculous. I am pretty confidant that I can pick out the right food for myself, whether it’s healthy or loaded with everything that’s terrible for you.

Also, think of the negative economic impact this ‘mandate’ will have on thousands of small businesses across the country! Yes, the huge food chains – such as McDonalds and Applebees – will likely survive this petty mandate, but what about the food chains with just over 20 locations? Or how about the food chains with just under 20 locations, but plan on expanding their business in the near future? Those are the businesses that might not be able to fork up the extra money to have their entire menu tested at a lab, menus redesigned, and new drive-through boards installed outside. Unfortunately, we will probably be waving goodbye to quite a few jobs for teenagers and young adults.

Thank you President Obama, FDA, and other large government expansions for reassuring me that a McDonalds’ Big Mac hamburger is still not good for my health. I appreciate the heads up… I really do.

Rep. John Dingell (D-MI)

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the interview between Rep. John Dingell (D-MI) and WJR’s Paul W. Smith?

Answer: According to Rep. Dingell, it will take awhile for Obama-Care to “control people.”

If you don’t want to listen to the sound clip posted above, here’s the transcript:

Let me remind you this [Americans allegedly dying because of lack of universal health care] has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you’re going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.

❓ Hmm…

Personally, I know exactly how I interpret this socialist-talk that spewed from the mouth of Rep. Dingell, but Ed Morrissey – from Hot Air – provides both sides of the argument better than I do/would:

It may be the mother of all Freudian slips (which is itself a Freudian joke, if you didn’t catch it).  “Control the people” could have one of two contexts here, of course; it could mean patient management, or it could be taken literally.  It would take quite a while to “control” 300 million people in either sense of the phrase.  Of course, in either sense, it’s one of the good reasons why the government shouldn’t be in the health-care business.  The private sector is better designed to manage patients.

But of course, the private sector isn’t designed to “control the people” in the literal sense.  You have to have government to do that, and people in charge who believe they should be in charge of “control[ling] the people” instead of supporting and defending the Constitution.

Either way… It doesn’t escape the fact that I am embarrassed that this Congressman is from my home state of Michigan. 😳 I know… I know… What can you expect? Unfortunately, his congressional district is around the Detroit area and we all know how they love their Democrats around there.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the White House library?

Answer: It appears Michelle Obama enjoys herself a nice book about socialism.

I put the banner “Funny Political Pics” on this post, but I am starting to regret that decision now… Props to Rob Port – from the Say Anything Blog – for having a good eye and reporting this:

I arrived in Washington DC today to cover CPAC and since I was in town, and since CPAC doesn’t really get rolling until tomorrow, I tagged along with some Scott Hennen Show listeners on an extensive tour of the White House as part of the Common Sense Travel Club.  One of the stops on the tour (which was wonderful by the way) was the White House library.

Now, according out the person who guided our tour, the library is stock with books picked out by the First Lady, Michelle Obama.  Being a bit of a bibliophile, I started to peruse some of the books on the shelves…and lookie, lookie what I found:

This is the photograph Mr. Port took:

Hmm… Look at all those great titles: The Populist Revolt, The Socialist Party of America, The American Socialist Movement, and my absolute favorite: The Social Bias of American Communism.

Am I shocked?

Well let’s see… So far we have had multiple people within the Obama administration praising Mao Tse Tung, had a self-proclaimed communist working with the President, and a Mao Tse Tung ornament mysteriously popped up on the White House Christmas tree.

Nope. Not shocked at all by this. Sadly, it all makes sense.

Wonder what you would find if you frisked America’s image of “socialism”?

Answer: Most Americans dislike the idea, but a large majority of Democrats and Liberals love it.

Absolutely shocking, isn’t it? 😆 Gallup reports:

More than one-third of Americans (36%) have a positive image of “socialism,” while 58% have a negative image. Views differ by party and ideology, with a majority of Democrats and liberals saying they have a positive view of socialism, compared to a minority of Republicans and conservatives.

No wonder they like President Obama… Even if his policies are failing and his approval rating is hitting record lows.

We must stop the progressive’s idea of fundamentally changing our great country before our future generations are handed a country full of debt and a lesser standard of living! If you would like to enjoy socialism, there are numerous countries to move to without destroying the heart of America.

Dictator Hugo Chavez

Wonder what you would find if you frisked the mental state of Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez and actor Danny Glover?

Answer: Both have a few screws loose in their noggins.

First of all, I don’t know if I even need to go into any details about what Hugo Chavez said, because it’s just utterly stupid. I’m sure the United States sent this make-believe weapon into Haiti so we can clean up the mess using all of our resources… No.

Secondly, The Danny Glover clip has already gone public a few days ago, but I figured I would throw it in with the idiotic clip from Hugo Chavez. I’m sure if we accomplished a deal in Copenhagen, Mother Nature would not have blessed Haiti with a terrible natural disaster. Where do these idiotic ideas and conspiracy theories come from!?

Side-Note: Next time I’m driving down the highway, I might toss a copy of Lethal Weapon out the window just to spite Danny Glover. How’s that for biodegradable?
